Cloud computing is the concept of accessing applications and storing file information online. "Cloud" is a metaphor for the Internet due to the way flowchart diagrams have a cloud-like shape drawn around them. The actual files do not exist on the local hard drive, but can be accessed via the cloud. Examples of online cloud services include Copy, SkyDrive, and Dropbox.
